Fingerboard Ramps Soon!

Prowood Fingerboards will soon be offering fingerboard ramps and obstacles soon!

We have been working very hard to develop the best designs with superior craftsmanship so that once again we will be able to offer hand crafted, USA made, BEAUTIFUL wooden fingerboard ramps and obstacles.  It has been a long and difficult journey but we insist on only the best products for our customers so I know it will be worth the wait!

As you know, I have had a life long love of beautiful woods and with my skateboarding kids, making fingerboards was a natural next step for me!  Our family created Prowood Fingerboards in 2008 and since that time we have never stopped to look back.  We do our best, every, single day to offer you top notch products at reasonable prices.  We think our new ramps and obstacles will not be an exception to that rule.

We know that using ramps and obstacles, our friends can spend hours practicing tricks and enjoying their hand crafted Prowood fingerboards.  Do you want to do a 180 on the mini half pipe?  Yep, you can do that – and if you don’t know how, you can practice until you do!  Like to grind?  Most of our new products will have aluminum ledges that will be perfect to allow you to perfect your style! You are going to love our new fingerboard ramps and obstacles!

Lastly, we know we couldn’t do all this, as we do, each and every day, without the support of our great friends – YOU!  Thank you so much for letting me do what I love.

For now, check out this pic of our newest samples, freshly created in the workshop! In the future, you will find (maybe in early October?) at our webstore:  www.prowoodfingerboards.com.   Thanks!

Updates – New Graphics and Ramps

Hello!

It has been a bit busy with trying to get a kiddo off to college, 2 others to start their school years here and another one moving off to Colorado. I’m still making boards, but also juggling a lot of other things.. and NOT (sadly) taking the time to update my posts here.

Our Team Captain, Jacob, has an awesome new Pro-Model board available. Check it out and let me know what you think. Sadly, our previous captain, Phillip, has finally retired as he is now working full time, going to school etc. Sometimes, life does get in the way of fingerboarding.

So, I’m back to focusing on the business and getting us prepped for the upcoming season. I’ve got a few new graphics I want to offer and I am getting ramp samples from some a local supplier in the next week. I will be super excited if the quality turns out as expected and my goal is to be able to start to offer ramps and obstacles on the site again, by September 1.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rain fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of his hand

An Irish blessing for all my friends!

Interview With a Team Rider: Alexis Garcia

Have you ever wanted to learn more about the Prowood team? Well, here is your chance ! We ask several riders in an exclusive one on one interview for some insider details and a few tips and tricks on what it takes to make the Prowood Team. Today’s rider is Californian fingerboarder Alexis Garcia !

Q. Tell a little about how you got into fingerboarding and who inspires you.

A: One day I was so bored on YouTube, I typed in ‘Tech Decks’ to see what videos I could find. The video was called “tech deck dudes” and I thought fingerboarding looked so fun! It was a trend at my school. EVERYBODY had tech decks and I wanted to be the best around. Alexis Milant and Mike Schnieder are my true inspirations to fingerboarding.

Q. How did you come to know about Prowood?

A: I think it was through a review on vicious274’s account. He review the Prowood Speedsters and his custom “2 Fingers. PEACE!” deck. I thought that was pretty sick!

Q. What do you enjoy most about being a Prowood team member?

A: The team of course! Everybody is just so good! So glad to be a part of a legit team.

Q. What’s your favorite Prowood deck shape and size?

A: 30mm extreme model. Anything with a graphic on it really. A black and purple tye dye graphic would be so SICK though!

Q. What is your absolute favorite trick?

A: Switch flip bs tails hands down!!

Q. Finally, any tips or tricks for beginners?

A: Stay committed! If you enjoying fingerboarding, keep doing it. (:

Thank you Alexis for your excellent advice, and welcome to the team ! To see some of his awesome fingerboard videos, check out his channel at : http://www.youtube.com/user/techboarder
