Another Graphic Option?

Here is a pic of another fingerboard graphic that I have been working on.  Thoughts?

kissOff

I like the design here, because it looks almost like camo.  I tried a pink and red version with ‘Kiss Me’ first and no one had anything good to say about it.  So, I decided to go for a different genre and made it more defiant.  The colors are sick and I think it would look great on a fingerboard.  If I were back in school, I think I would get this one, just to hope my teacher would try to take it away..   but then again, I was always a trouble maker back then.

Just like all of our fingerboards, this would be hand crafted, right here in Indiana.  We make our fingerboards using 5 plies of wood – making sure we alternate the plies with cross cut wood to make our boards super strong, with great pop.  From my experience, wooden fingerboards will give you a much better ride, with greater control, just like riding a full size skateboard.

If offered, the board would be available in all 3 of our shapes – Classic, Extreme, and Venti.  Sizes 29mm, 30mm and 32mm.

Fingerboard Graphic- Blue Hair

Here is a pic of a fingerboard graphic that I have been working on.  Thoughts?blueHair

I like this because it reminds me a lot of my niece, who just happened to color her hair the same exact color.  I love the colors and I think it would look great on a fingerboard.  Would it help me do better fingerboard tricks?  No clue, but it would be cool enough that I would have to try.

Why?

Lots of folks ask my why do I make fingerboards. Why did I start making fingerboards? The answer is simple.  It’s just too awesome not to!

As I hope you have all seen in our TV interview, I got started making fingerboards when Weston (my pro-skateboarder son), asked me to make one for him.

I have always loved working with my hands…… making things, fixing things, just getting dirty.  I’ve built skate ramps in my own and have bought and fixed up and sold more cars than I can count.  It’s just what I do.

When it comes to making fingerboards, for me, it’s about the building and creating.  I love to work with wood.  I love finding new ways to shape it, new designs to add to it, new ways to make fingerboards better.

I am not a web savvy person so I have lots of help when it comes to updating my webstore and the like.  I am learning, slowly.  It’s fun to do, but not nearly as rewarding as simply ‘building something’.

So, yes, that is why I do it.

So, I am interested to know more about you. Why do you do what you do?  Comment below.
